I am Kausar Chaudhry, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, senior healthcare leader and independent healthcare expert witness with over 39 years of clinical and managerial experience.

My career has encompassed frontline nursing, autonomous advanced clinical practice, healthcare governance and senior leadership across the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

As an independent expert witness, I aim to provide balanced and reasoned professional opinions based upon the clinical evidence available, the relevant professional standards and the circumstances existing at the time of the care under review.

I recognise that clinical decisions must be assessed within their proper context and that an adverse patient outcome does not, in itself, demonstrate a breach of duty.

Where the evidence is incomplete, where alternative clinical interpretations may reasonably exist or where a matter falls outside my professional competence, these limitations will be clearly identified.

My overriding responsibility is to assist the court through independent professional opinion, rather than to advocate for the party instructing me.
